My name is Janine Denoncourt and I am the founder/owner of Early Childhood Behavioral Health Solutions, PLLC. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 23 years of experience working with young children and their families in a variety of mental health settings. I am passionate about empowering families and promoting healthy child development. I am dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate, individualized treatment to help meet the needs, concerns, and priorities of your family.
Behavioral, emotional and developmental issues can be stressful and overwhelming for the entire family. I believe that parents are allies in the treatment process and I will work with you to help you better understand your child’s needs and concerns and to find more effective ways to respond to these concerns and achieve a greater sense of well being. I believe that parents are the experts regarding their own children, and parents know their children better than anyone else. Therefore, utilizing parents’ knowledge and expertise is a vital part of helping make positive changes and I feel honored to be welcomed into your home to be part of this process.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 2003. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I am also a certified Triple P provider and hold certificates in DIR/Floortime, Perinatal Mental Health and Mental Performance. In addition to having extensive experience working with young children and their families, I have developed, managed and worked directly with programs large and small, public and private, conducted Home Study and Post Placement adoption services and have conducted research in areas of infant parent psychotherapy, and behavioral and emotional challenges of children in foster care.
I have lived in North Carolina for almost 17 years, originally from Western Massachusetts. I am happily married and a proud parent of FOUR beautiful children. I love watching my children play organized sports on the weekends and I enjoy volunteering in the community, visiting with family, traveling and boating on Lake Norman. By experiencing the joy of motherhood myself I am passionately drawn to this field in hopes of empowering other parents and helping others find as much joy as I do in parenting. I look forward to the privilege of learning about your child and your family experiences as well as the journey that has brought you to Early Childhood Behavioral Health Solutions, PLLC.
